Looking for a Full-time Caregiver Job

I have a Masters degree in Early Childhood, with a Bachelors in Special Education; and have been a professional nanny, for multiple families, the past 7 years. I view the caregiver as an extension of the family, and their main purpose, besides caring for the child/children, is to make the home life run smoothly. I believe this allows for greatest amount of parental involvement during their time off work which, I hope, can be focused on growing their relationship with their child/children. Along with individualized care, based on social, and both gross and fine motor skills, I'm able to provide a developmentally appropriate “curriculum” that is implemented daily. My belief is that children thrive when they are well cared for by a nurturing and attentive child care provider in the comfort of their own home. The one on one care and interaction that a nanny provides gives children a deep sense of self worth and security. The consistent relationship that children have with their caregiver allows them to develop a meaningful bond with a caring adult that has the children’s best interests at heart.

I was an Au Pair in Switzerland for a year, and Scotland for 9 months after that stint. I have worked for 2 families since arriving in Denver, Colorado. I have been with my current family for over 3 1/2 yrs and am looking for a new position because my charges will be attending preschool this Fall.
